| Location Narrative |
Paynes Creek Recreation Area. The site is at the end of Adobe Road, about 50 meters east of the Sacramento River, 250 meters south of Chinese Rapids, across the river from the community of Bend. Muhlenbergia bunches established on bench cobbles with Taeniatherum, Bromus, and Lolium in interstices. Throughout the stand, there is scattered Grindelia with varying density. The stand was recently inundated, with presently flattened, drying stems.
